유럽(EU) 지역에 제품을 유통 또는 판매하고자 하는 제조자는 그 제품이 해당하는 EU지침에 적합하다는 것을 선언 및/또는 해당 통지기관(인증기관, Notified Body)의 형식검사 등의 적합성평가방법을 거쳐 CE마크를 제품에 부착하여야 합니다.

이러한 “CE 마킹” 이 부착되어져 있는 제품은, 그 제품이 부적합한 상태라는 명백한 증거가 없는 한, EU 역내(구역)에서의 자유로운 유통을 보장한다.”라는 것을
의미하고 있다.

다시 말하면, “CE 마킹”은 제품을 위한 필수기본 요건(Essential Requirements)으로서 전기 · 전자 제품은 반드시 EMC적합성을 보장하여야 합니다.

적합성평가는 다음의 방법을 적용합니다.

  • EMC Directive 에서 공표된 European Harmonised Standards(EN) 를 적용하여 평가하고 제조자 적합성선언(Manufacturer Declaration of Conformity)합니다.
    이러한 규격은Official Journal of the European Communities (OJEU)을 통하여 공지되기 때문에 항시 EU Official Journal의 공식 웹사이트에서 확인을 하셔야 합니다.
  • 적용규격이 없거나 부분적으로 적용한 경우 제조자는 Technical Construction File(TCF)을 작성하고 Competent Body의 리포터 또는 인증서(Certificate)를
    받으셔야 합니다.

Conformity Assessment Body(CAB) Program

UL은 유럽 적합성인증기관(Conformity Assessment Body) 으로 지정되어 EMC 지침의 Competent Body 및 Notified Body의 권한을 바탕으로 고객의 제품에 대한 유럽 CE Marking 적합성인증을 제공하고 있습니다.
